Hello!

My name is Lisa Van Horne, and I'm a writer, editor, and marketing communications professional living in Colorado. A word nerd, avid reader, and fangirl with dreams of one day learning how to play guitar and winning a competitive swim race, I bring a positive, energetic, and empathetic attitude to all of my writing.

My Writing Story (So Far)

My passion for exploring through storytelling began when I was a kid, writing and illustrating fantastical stories about my favorite animals and putting reams of paper and new packs of pencils at the top of every wish list. I've always reveled in writing and creative collaborations, whether they took the form of writing essays about Woodstock and drafting screenplays in college to partnering with colleagues to create engaging marketing and narrative pieces today.

I've lived in multiple locales across the country, from growing up in Buffalo and Reno to graduating from college in San Diego and a jaunt in New York City before finding home in Colorado. Through my work in marketing communications, writing articles for print and web publications, and creating content for organizations across industries, I'm looking to seek out new creative challenges, use my expertise to support the success of organizations with missions that excite and inspire me, and continue to grow through writing.
